Raccoon.Technology took part at MIT Enterprise Forum CEE, affiliated with the world’s best technology university – the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

This acceleration program was created to help startups from CEE countries run a pilot, and it has three rounds. Raccoon.World was selected from over 200 innovative tech startups to take part in 6 workshop sessions. Moreover, our team was among the 9 best ones that presented their projects on Demo Day, the 9th of January 2020. Let’s see how useful this experience was for our team.

An important role in the program is played by the cooperation of startups with large enterprises so that startups can verify their solutions in real market conditions. We were lucky to carry out a pilot of Raccoon.Recovery with one of the largest insurance companies in Eastern Europe that became our key partner on the Polish market.

MITEF program doesn’t seem to be like typical classes. Over 70% of the course build practical workshops in mixed groups. Solving business-related cases and working alongside people that represent different generations and have diverse backgrounds or values is an amazing experience. I also like the friendly atmosphere of the accelerator.

Alex Radovichenko, COO

Working in a large multinational company, you have a clear understanding of what and when should be done. For instance, you can conduct market research for more than two months. However, this approach doesn’t work for a startup. Workshops provided by MIT clarified how to combine planning with flexibility to achieve meaningful results. I enjoyed learning the concept of disciplined entrepreneurship designed by Bill Aulet. Especially I like the simplified tools for competitors analysis, evaluation of value proposition, and market segmentation.

Anna Bezrodna, CMO

Participation in numerous networking events along with communication with experts, mentors, and tech colleagues at MIT Enterprise Forum cleared up for me the strong connection between the tech team and business operations. The program allowed me to better understand business processes as well as gave me a couple of ideas on how to manage tech teamwork closer to business needs.

  • Establish cooperation with leading Polish insurance company that allows us to implement a pilot of Raccoon.Recovery tool.
  • Enter the new market and opened a Polish office of Raccoon.World. Prove the business model in the European market.
  • Run new functions verification of the rehabilitation tool for the whole arm.
